RHPA Annual Meeting Minutes (2/9/2025)
Hello neighbors!
We hope this finds you all enjoying the sunshine that is finally making an appearance...A glance at the forecast seems to indicate spring is just around the corner!
The Annual Meeting was held on February 9, and there were a few changes to the board. We want to take the opportunity to introduce (or re-introduce) ourselves, and pass along the minutes for the meeting. The minutes will contain a summary of everything that was discussed, but we also want to highlight a few things in this email as well.
Board changes
As part of the annual meeting, we ask for nominations for the Board of Directors. Historically, it's been hard to find volunteers, and this year was no exception. Jessica Versaw and Shane Riley are leaving the Board due to moving out of the neighborhood. Dave McBride and Laura Chasek volunteered to continue and were re-elected. We also elected a new member of the Board, but he has unfortunately had a change of plans and has since decided he is unable to serve. We need at least one other Board member to comply with the ByLaws and would be glad to have more. If you are interested, please contact Dave, Laura, or the RHPA email address, and we will be in touch! The time commitment is typically around 1-2 hours a month.
Dues increase and budget approval
During the Annual Meeting, the membership suggested and approved an increase of the annual dues to $150/year. The proposed budget for 2025 was also approved, and a copy is attached to this email.
ByLaws - Proposed Updates
The ByLaws Committee presented a summary of the proposed changes to the ByLaws, which is attached to this email. Please watch for a full copy of the proposed changes, opportunities to discuss these changes, and a meeting to vote on the changes in the coming weeks.
Community Events
What kinds of community building events would you like to see organized by the HOA?
What kinds of volunteer opportunities would you be interested in?
We are always in need of people to help with community events and park maintenance (such as picking up sticks/branches, taking out the trash, caulking the waterway).
This year we will also be holding ByLaws discussions throughout the neighborhood. If you would be interested in hosting a small gathering, please contact the Board.
Communication with the board
If you would like to contact the board, please either email the board at rhpaboard@gmail.com or leave a voicemail or text message at 402-413-7173. The phone number is not continuously monitored, please leave a voicemail to receive a call back as soon as a board member is available. Please reach out via these means rather than reaching out to individual board members – this allows the workload for (volunteer) board members to be more evenly distributed, and allows the board to better document member questions and concerns.

Playground reminders
Please ask your children not to play on the rocks that were placed along the culvert for erosion control. It’s not safe for the children, and can impact the quality of the erosion control.
Thanks,
